Executive Condominium (EC)
(Singapore EC / HDB EC)

An Executive Condominium (EC) is initially classified as HDB property for the first 10 years. During this period, it is subject to restrictions such as a Minimum Occupancy Period (MOP) of five years, as well as limitations on who can purchase it. However, after the 10-year mark, the EC becomes fully privatised, allowing it to be sold like any other private property, with no restrictions on buyers, including foreigners, companies, and others.

Unlike Built-to-Order (BTO) flats, which are developed by the government, ECs are constructed by private developers. They offer a full suite of condominium facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, barbecue pits, and other amenities typically found in private developments.
